Kuwait city: Kuwait's weightlifting team achieved a significant milestone by securing 12 medals at two prestigious events: the West Asia Championships and the Qatar International Weightlifting Cup 2025, currently hosted in Doha. The team clinched three gold and six bronze medals at the West Asia championships for seniors, while also earning three additional bronze medals at the Qatar International Weightlifting Cup. According to Kuwait News Agency, in the West Asia Championships, Abrar Al-Fahad emerged victorious with three gold medals in the 77-kg category. Meanwhile, Hanan Al-Amir and Al-Zahraa Kamshad demonstrated their skills by each winning three bronze medals in the 77-kg and 69-kg categories, respectively. In the Qatar International Cup, Abrar Al-Fahad continued her impressive performance by securing three bronze medals in the 77-kg category. Qatar is currently hosting the 10th edition of the Qatar International Weightlifting Cup 2025, which runs concurrently with the Arab Weightlifting Championship for seniors, youth, and juniors, as well as the West Asian Weightlifting Championship for the same age categories.
