Kuwait city: Kuwait's Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its deep regret over the damage at the Qatari Embassy's building resulting from the bombing in Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the Ministry reiterated Kuwait's consistent stance, urging for crisis resolution through diplomacy and dialogue. The Ministry emphasized Kuwait's support for international efforts aiming to achieve a peaceful settlement of the crisis, in accordance with international law and the UN Charter.
The statement highlighted the importance of adhering to the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations, particularly the requirement for host states to ensure the protection of diplomatic missions, their personnel, and facilities. It further noted that the convention mandates keeping diplomatic missions away from the dangers associated with armed conflicts, in line with international law and the obligations of host countries.
