Kuwait takes part in GCC’s 34th justice ministerial

Minister of Justice and Minister of Endowment and Islamic Affairs, Dr. Mohammad Al-Wasmi, is heading the Kuwaiti delegation to the 34th justice ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council meeting, held in Qatar. During a speech at the event, Dr. Al-Wasmi commended Qatar for organizing the meeting and the GCC Secretariat General for their diligent work. The Minister also extended warm welcome to member states as Kuwait is slated to host the upcoming justice ministerial the following year. As for Qatari Justice Minister, Ibrahim Al-Muhandi, he said that a strategic plan boosting cooperation and having a positive impact among GCC members is currently in the works. The Minister spoke of Qatar's advanced experience in Artificial Intelligence services in legal matters, highlighting importance of making use of such technology in improving justice systems and expediting digitization. GCC Secretary General Ambassador Jassim Al-Budaiwi, commented on the meetings' expected outcomes of approving several agreements, in cluding one on handover of suspects and felons, saying that it is an extension of many agreements among member states.
