Kuwait Supports GCC Progress and Global Peace Efforts

Kuwait City: Kuwait Ambassador to Qatar Khaled Al-Mutairi stated that Kuwait is committed to advancing the Gulf Cooperation Council's (GCC) progress and supporting global efforts to achieve peace and stability. According to Kuwait News Agency, Al-Mutairi made these remarks during a reception celebrating Kuwait's 64th National Day and 34th Liberation Day, attended by ministers, senior officials, and ambassadors. He emphasized the strong relationship between Kuwait and Qatar, which is supported by the leadership of both countries. Al-Mutairi highlighted a recent meeting of the Kuwait-Qatar supreme committee in Doha, co-chaired by Kuwait Foreign Minister Abdullah Al-Yahya and Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammad Al-Thani. During the meeting, both sides explored ways to enhance bilateral relations and cooperation, culminating in the signing of agreements and memoranda of understanding. He extended congratulations to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highn ess the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah on the occasion of the national days.
