Kuwait City: The Supreme Committee to Investigate Kuwaiti Citizenship held a meeting on Thursday, chaired by First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah, who also heads the committee. The committee decided to strip 3,856 individuals of their Kuwaiti citizenship.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the Ministry of Interior stated in a press release that the decision would be submitted to the cabinet for further consideration. The ministry emphasized that the action was in accordance with the Kuwaiti Citizenship Law, underscoring the legal basis for the committee's decision.
