In related developments, United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) Secretary-General Zurab Pololikashvili praised Kuwait's key role in advancing regional tourism, highlighting the nation's contributions to tourism initiatives that promote regional cooperation and development. This recognition comes as Kuwait strengthens its commitment to tourism and cultural events, such as hosting the Moscow Seasons Festival. The festival concluded with a concert by the Moscow State Symphony Orchestra at the Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Cultural Centre.
Kuwait is also making diplomatic strides, with His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and his delegation arriving in the UK for an official visit. Additionally, Foreign Minister Abdullah Al-Yahya noted Kuwait's participation in the high-level week of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly in New York, achieving notable diplomatic successes.
On the security front, Kuwait's Ministry of Interior has been proactive, conducting security campaigns across all governorates to maintain law and order and apprehend fugitives. Furthermore, in a regional defense collaboration, the Kuwaiti Naval Force handed over command of the Combined Task Force 152 to the Qatari Amiri Navy at a ceremony in Bahrain.
Elsewhere in the region, Kuwaiti car racer Dhari Al-Dhafiri achieved third place in the Class-2 category and seventh in the general classification at the fourth round of the Qatar desert rally, showcasing Kuwait's growing presence in international motorsports.
These multifaceted efforts underscore Kuwait's aim to solidify its position as a leading cultural and tourism hub while maintaining its influence in regional and international affairs.
