Kuwait Society for Relief Delivers 100 Tons of Aid to Eastern Sudan

Kuwait City: Kuwait Society for Relief (KSR) distributed 100 tons of food aid to internally displaced people (IDP) in Kassala State, eastern Sudan, in cooperation with the Sudanese charity El-Ehsan. The distribution took place during a ceremony attended by Kassala Deputy-Governor Omar Othman Adam, the State's Commissioner for Humanitarian Aid Edris Ali, and El-Ehsan Director Edris Hamed.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the aid consisted of 2,000 food parcels aimed at alleviating the challenges faced by the IDP due to the ongoing civil unrest. Omar Othman Adam expressed gratitude towards Kuwait's government and citizens for their continuous support, acknowledging the significant role played by Kuwaiti aid organizations in humanitarian efforts.

The event highlighted the strong brotherly relations between Sudan and Kuwait. Both Kassala's Commissioner and El-Ehsan's Director commended the initiative, recognizing it as a timely intervention addressing the urgent needs of those displaced by the conflict.
