Kuwait city: The Kuwait Humanitarian Action Society has announced the launch of its Ramadan charity projects for this year, both within Kuwait and in several other countries, as part of its humanitarian and social role. The initiative aims to support families in need and strengthen social solidarity.
According to Kuwait News Agency, Secretary General Khaled Al-Kandari revealed that the Ramadan program includes iftar meals, Zakat Al-Fitr, and Eid clothing, targeting both domestic and international communities. The society is also advancing its mosque and Islamic center construction projects abroad, which include the Saga Mosque project in Japan, a mosque and center in Pavia, Italy, and the acquisition of a property to be converted into a mosque in Middlesbrough, England.
The Ramadan plan encompasses endowment, outreach, and humanitarian initiatives such as the Comprehensive Endowment project, Mafhas Al-Qatah project, and the 10 by 10 charity project. Additionally, a small projects program is designed to economically empower low-income families.
Outreach projects are also planned in Japan and the Amazon rainforest. Furthermore, specialized humanitarian programs, including the Eye Life project for sight-restoring surgeries, are part of the society's efforts. Al-Kandari emphasized the society's commitment to reaching the most needy areas and expanding Kuwait's charitable work on a global scale.
