Kuwait city: Security personnel have arrested a four-member gang that had stolen money from banks' clients while in their vehicles in the Industrial Shuwaikh District, the Ministry of Interior declared on Thursday.
According to Kuwait News Agency, inspectors utilized diligent tracking and intensive investigations, employing high technology to conclude that the robbers were targeting bank clients in their vehicles in the Al-Dajeej district. The thieves followed their victims in vehicles with fraudulently changed license plates to avoid detection.
A special squad from the Ministry of Interior forces was formed to monitor the gang's movements near the banks. After several days of surveillance, all the robbers were detained in their vehicles near a bank in Al-Dajeej. They confessed to committing the thefts, the Ministry of Interior statement said, adding that the detainees would be referred to the competent authorities for further legal proceedings.
