Kuwait Secures Spot in FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025 with Victory over Mauritania

Doha: Kuwait's national football team has defeated Mauritania 2-0 to qualify for the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025. Mohammad Daham was instrumental in the match, scoring the opening goal for the Blues in the seventh minute. He further solidified Kuwait's lead by adding another goal in the 23rd minute. The fixture was held at Jassim bin Hamad Stadium in Doha.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the Kuwaiti team successfully maintained their lead despite a goal from Mauritania being disallowed due to offside. This result enabled Kuwait to advance to the pan-Arab championship set to take place in Qatar next month. The FIFA Arab Cup 2025 marks the second time Qatar will host the event, with the inaugural tournament having been held there in 2021.

Sixteen nations from the Arab world are set to compete for the title, including the reigning champions, Algeria. The competition's Final Stage is scheduled from 1-18 December 2025, following a Qualification Stage on 25-26 November 2025.
