Dubai: The State of Kuwait, represented by Chairman of Kuwait Air Sports Club Ahmad Al-Shallahi, has secured a seat on the Board of Directors of the Asian Air Sports Federation for the upcoming three years. The election occurred during the Federation's General Assembly meeting in Dubai, UAE, which began on Tuesday and is set to conclude on Thursday.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the election saw the appointment of members to the Executive Office for the 2025-2027 term. Yousef Al-Hammadi from the UAE was elected as president, alongside representatives from eight Asian countries, including Kuwait. Al-Shallahi, who led Kuwait's delegation, highlighted that this achievement underscores the technical and administrative excellence of Kuwaiti sports at both continental and international levels.
Al-Shallahi remarked that Kuwait's membership on the board signifies its strong international presence and commitment to actively participating in the Federation's decision-making and activities over the next four years. He conveyed his congratulations to Kuwait's political leadership, expressing optimism for continued progress and success for Kuwaiti sports, particularly in air sports, across various platforms.
