Kuwait registers 528 new COVID-19 cases, one death

– Kuwait’s health ministry said on Wednesday that 528 more people tested positive for COVID-19 over the past 24 hours, taking the country’s caseload to 620,980, while one new fatality linked to the virus upped the country’s death toll from the pandemic to 2,540.

Some 946 more people recovered from the virus to raise the number of those to have overcome the disease to 610,295, according to ministry spokesman Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad, adding that the recovery to positive case ratio stands at 98.3 percent. The number of people hospitalized with the virus is down to 185, 49 of whom need intensive care, added the spokesman, citing some14,524 swab tests carried out over the past day, out of a total of 7,677,822 so far.
