Kuwait Red Crescent Society Underlines Endeavors to Help Disaster-Affected People Worldwide

Riyadh: Chairman of Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) Ambassador Khaled Al-Maghames stated that his charity remains committed to contributing to humanitarian efforts by providing aid and support to disaster-affected individuals around the globe. He shared these remarks with KUNA after meeting with Director-General of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Pierre Krahenbuhl during the Fourth Riyadh International Humanitarian Forum.

According to Kuwait News Agency, Al-Maghames emphasized that the breadth and scale of humanitarian aid from the State of Kuwait, encompassing both governmental and nongovernmental organizations, underscore its critical role in global humanitarian initiatives aimed at assisting refugees and displaced individuals worldwide. During his discussions with the ICRC chief, Al-Maghames explored ongoing mutual cooperation and humanitarian efforts in light of current global changes.

Krahenbuhl expressed appreciation for the KRCS as a vital humanitarian partner of the ICRC, noting its initiatives designed to alleviate the suffering of populations affected by natural disasters and man-made crises across numerous countries.
