— The Kuwaiti ministry of health logged Sunday 670 new coronavirus infections, taking total since the beginning of the pandemic to 623,159.
Ministry Spokesperson Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad stated to KUNA, that 928 new recoveries were recorded raising total of recoveries to 614,597, indicating that recovery-infection ratio reached 98.6 percent.
Dr. Al-Sanad added that fatalities tally reached 2,545 as one death caused by the virus was recorded.
He also pointed out that total of active cases reached 6,017 with 32 patients receiving care in Intensive Care Units (ICU) and patients in covid-19 wards are 179.
Moreover, Al-Sanad mentioned that 13,079 swap tests were conducted, taking total of swap tests to 7,726,633, adding that infection-test rate reached five percent
