Kuwait city: His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah on Tuesday visited the project site of the new Kuwait International Airport Terminal (T-2). The visit took place during the weekly Cabinet session held at the terminal.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the Prime Minister was accompanied by various ministers during the site tour and was briefed by the Minister of Public Works, Dr. Nora Al-Mashaan, about the project. His Highness described the terminal as one of Kuwait's major development projects and emphasized the need for coordination among government departments with the Ministry of Public Works to address any challenges and ensure that the project progresses according to schedule.
The Prime Minister expressed his appreciation to Minister Al-Mashaan, the President of the Public Authority for Civil Aviation, Sheikh Humoud Mubarak Al-Humoud Al-Sabah, and other project managers and authorities, including the ministries of interior and financial affairs, the Audit Bureau, the Fatwa and Legislation department, and the Central Agency for Public Tenders. Their efforts in expediting the project were acknowledged.
Minister Al-Mashaan elaborated on the project's scope, which includes establishing and maintaining the new passenger terminal, service buildings, access roads, and parking lots. Similar works are planned for runways and service facilities. Sheikh Humoud also discussed the efforts and coordination of the Public Authority for Civil Aviation with various project stakeholders.
