Kuwait city: The Ministry of Islamic Affairs announced that Salat Al-Istisqa, a prayer for rain, is scheduled to take place at 125 mosques across Kuwait at 10:30 a.m. local time this coming Saturday.
According to Kuwait News Agency, Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry Suleiman Al-Suwailem confirmed that the Ministry has finalized all necessary preparations for this important ritual. He urged both citizens and residents to participate in the upcoming prayers.
Salat Al-Istisqa is typically performed during times of drought and insufficient rainfall. It is regarded as a Sunnah, a tradition practiced by Prophet Mohammad (Peace and Blessings of Allah Be Upon Him).
