In a press statement issued Tuesday, the Ministry said that the seizure was made possible through security coordination and information exchange between Kuwait and Iraq, as part of ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking networks.
The statement added that the suspect was monitored and tracked within a well-devised security plan that relied on intelligence gathering ending in his arrest, which led to his confession that the seized pills belonged to him and were intended for distribution in partnership with an individual outside the country.
