Kuwait City: Some 440 individuals were arrested for violating residency visas and work permits between April 30 until May 9, said the Ministry of Interior on Monday. The arrests were part of an ongoing effort to address illegal residency and employment practices in the country.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the Interior Ministry's Public Relation Department indicated that the arrested individuals have been sent to competent legal authorities for due process. The Ministry affirmed its commitment to continue these campaigns aimed at apprehending violators of residency visas and work permits.
The Ministry also pointed out that legal procedures would be taken against employers and sponsors who enable such violations. This initiative underscores the government's efforts to uphold residency and labor laws, ensuring compliance and accountability within the country.
