Salmiya: The Interior Ministry announced on Monday the arrest of 23 individuals who violated residency visa and work permits in the Salmiya area.
According to Kuwait News Agency, a press statement by the Ministry revealed that complaints on social media regarding the gathering of these violators throughout the Salmiya area were addressed. The statement noted that 19 individuals with Article 20 residency visas, designated for domestic workers, and four individuals under Article 18 work permit visas were apprehended.
Legal measures were taken against the offenders, affirmed the ministry, which warned against such violations. The ministry also stated that sponsors and employers would be held accountable according to the law.
