Kuwait MoCI Launches New E-Services in Coordination with Interior Ministry

Kuwait city: The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) on Monday launched a new package of electronic services in coordination with the Ministry of Interior, represented by the General Department of Traffic, to streamline procedures related to commercial activities under the Interior Ministry's jurisdiction.

According to Kuwait News Agency, Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry Marwa Al-Juaidan stated that the new services are part of the ministry's efforts to enhance digital transformation and simplify business procedures. The Smart License, equipped with a single barcode, will consolidate all related approvals and procedures, significantly reducing paperwork and ensuring comprehensive electronic documentation. Al-Juaidan pointed out that this launch represents an advanced phase in the government's digital transformation project, contributing to greater procedural efficiency and an improved user experience.

She confirmed ongoing institutional cooperation between MoCI and the Ministry of Interior to ensure the smooth processing of commercial activities supervised by the General Directorate of Traffic.
