Kuwait city: The Ministry of Justice announced the release of 39 civilian prisoners on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan and Kuwait's national holidays. This initiative is part of ongoing efforts to alleviate the financial hardships experienced by affected families.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the Ministry's Aid Committee within the General Directorate of Implementation convened to assess the conditions of individuals imprisoned for civil offenses. The meeting focused on settling the financial obligations of those in debt.
The review process led to the payment of KD 114,779, equivalent to about USD 375,000, which facilitated the release of 39 detainees. The meeting examined a total of 72 cases, underscoring the Ministry's commitment to addressing the financial distress impacting families.
