Kuwait city: The Ministry of Interior has announced a significant operation against diesel traffickers in the Al-Abdali farming region. The operation involved raiding a farm used for the storage and smuggling of diesel out of the country.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the operation was executed under the direct supervision of the Acting Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah, with Major General Hamed Al-Dawas, the Assistant Undersecretary for Public Security Affairs, also present. The personnel, equipped with a warrant, acted on intelligence that diesel was being stored in containers on the farm.
The authorities seized 33 containers loaded with diesel, along with pumps used in the operation. Nine individuals were arrested, including a citizen believed to be the mastermind behind the illegal activities. The farm owner was apprehended at the Al-Nuwaiseeb exit in an attempt to escape.
Additionally, the personnel discovered evidence of financial transactions indicating the transfer of large sums of money abroad, further illustrating the scale of the smuggling operation.
