Kuwait Minister of Information lays way for development of governmental media

– Minister of Information, Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi on Monday said that the Ministry of Information intends to develop the governmental media body to become a main source of knowledge.

This came in a statement by the minister during a ceremony of launching the new media strategy for the years (2021-2026) that was held at Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Cultural Center (JACC).

The minister said that this strategy was built to become an actual step towards development.

He noted that this strategy has the vision to build a sustainable media body that pioneers in purposeful content creation that combines between originality with modernity and reflects diversity.

He also said that this strategy focuses on developing human resources in the ministry by supporting cadres, competencies and talents by providing them with the latest technologies and modern devices.

Al-Mutairi mentioned that this strategy seeks to improve the identity of the ministry and the departments that are associated with it, the financial aspects, marketing and production. In addition, creating a media production city. He affirmed that this strategy will abide by Kuwaiti Customs and traditions; derived from the Islamic religion.

He pointed out that this strategy took 120 hours to complete, in addition to 41 discussion circles with the participation of more than 550 people, with the use of Arab and international expertise in the media sector, in addition to conducting more than 200 field studies.
