Kuwait city: Takeoff and landing operations have been temporarily suspended at Kuwait International Airport, Kuwait's national carrier announced on Saturday. The airline has rescheduled most of its flights due to this measure. According to Nam News Network, the suspension was attributed to Iranian aggression. Kuwait Airways, in a statement carried by the state-run KUNA news agency, stated, "Most flights have been rescheduled due to the temporary suspension of takeoffs and landings at Kuwait International Airport as a result of the Iranian aggression." The carrier advised passengers to stay informed about their flight status. This development occurs amid escalating tensions in the Middle East, where the United States has launched strikes on Iran, prompting Tehran to retaliate with strikes on regional countries, including Kuwait, which hosts US assets. The exchange of fire between Washington and Tehran continues despite a Pakistan-brokered memorandum of understanding signed in June aimed at ending the war an d establishing a lasting peace agreement.
