Kuwait city: Kuwaiti First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah, along with Health Minister Dr. Ahmad Al-Awadhi, visited the individuals injured in a fire at the General Department of Correctional Institutions (GDCI) building. The injured are currently receiving necessary medical treatment.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the Ministry of Interior released a press statement noting that Sheikh Fahad Al-Yusuf was briefed on the health conditions of the injured during his visit. He emphasized the provision of medical care and ongoing follow-up for the affected individuals.
Sheikh Fahad Al-Yusuf also instructed officials to investigate the fire's circumstances, determine its causes, and implement necessary measures in line with existing regulations. He highlighted the need to ensure safety requirements are applied within the facility to prevent future incidents.
The minister underscored the importance of safety and prevention measures across all Ministry of Interior facilities.
