Kuwait Info. Minister and UNESCO Representative Discuss Cooperation with International Cultural Agencies

Kuwait city: Kuwaiti Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi met with Kuwait's Permanent Representative to UNESCO, Dr. Ali Al-Mudhaf, to discuss cooperation between the Ministry of Information and international cultural institutions.

According to Kuwait News Agency, during the meeting, the minister expressed Kuwait's pride in its cultural and intellectual role in international forums. He highlighted that having an efficient representative like Al-Mudhaf reflects Kuwait's commitment to promoting its presence in UNESCO and supporting the organization's cultural, educational, and scientific missions.

The minister added that the ministry, along with the National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters (NCCAL), is aiming to develop cultural and media programs that align with the State's goals of promoting national identity and enhancing Kuwait's soft diplomacy. He emphasized the importance of collaborating with UNESCO to support cultural initiatives, showcase Kuwait's cultural contributions, and encourage youth participation in creative and intellectual activities.
