Kuwait city: Kuwaiti Minister of Communication Affairs and Information Technology and Acting Minister of Information and Culture Omar Al-Omar emphasized the need for concerted Arab media action in response to rapid regional and global developments. Addressing the 22nd ordinary session of the Executive Bureau of the Council of Arab Information Ministers in Kuwait, Al-Omar highlighted the importance of creating a responsible media discourse to keep pace with changes, protect public awareness, and serve national issues. According to Kuwait News Agency, Al-Omar conveyed greetings and best wishes from His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah for a successful media gathering. He reiterated Kuwait's unwavering support for the Palestinian people and their legitimate rights, emphasizing the centrality of the Palestinian cause in Arab media. Al-Omar pl edged that Kuwait, during its presidency of the Executive Office for the next two years, would work to advance Arab media mechanisms in line with the sector's rapid transformations. He noted the significance of media in crisis management and awareness creation, particularly with the advancement of digital media technologies. He stressed the need for digital media to be based on innovative strategies that support sustainable development and safeguard Arab identity. Ambassador Ahmad Khattabi, the Arab League's Assistant Secretary-General for the Media Sector, highlighted the necessity of global awareness regarding the Palestinian people's struggles. He called for collective media efforts to support the Palestinian cause, urging the use of digital platforms and social media to promote international solidarity. Jordanian Minister of Government Communication Mohammad Al-Momani called for unified media efforts amid current regional challenges. He expressed Jordan's support for Arab media cooperation and coordinat ion. Baligh Abu Kalal, head of the Iraqi Communications and Media Commission's executive body, emphasized media's role in protecting rights and stability. He advocated for defending Arab digital sovereignty to ensure effective content that maintains security and positive influence. Saudi Assistant Information Minister Avbdullah Al-Maghlouth reiterated the importance of joint Arab media action, with the Palestinian cause at the forefront of the meeting agenda. Houssein Medou, Mauritania's Minister of Culture, Arts, Communication, and Relations with Parliament, discussed challenges such as credibility and digital security amid rapid technological changes. Yemeni Minister of Information, Culture, and Tourism Moammar Al-Eryani highlighted media's role in protecting Arab identity and consolidating stability. He affirmed Yemen's commitment to joint Arab action to develop strategies against campaigns targeting Arab security and stability.
