Kuwait City: The Association of Small and Medium Enterprise in Kuwait (ASMEK) organized a conference on entrepreneurship in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Member States as part of the Gulf Weeks activities held ahead of the 45th GCC Summit. The event aimed to enhance regional cooperation in the entrepreneurship sector and facilitate communication and networking among entrepreneurs in the Arabian Gulf. According to Kuwait News Agency, ASMEK Board Chairperson Shaima Bin Hussein stated that the conference addressed various issues including digital economy, social and environmental responsibility, good governance, and shared success stories of startups and entrepreneurs in Kuwait and other GCC countries. She emphasized the significance of small and medium enterprises as essential contributors to sustainable economic development in the GCC region. Acting Director General of Kuwait's National Fund for Small and Medium Enterprises Development, Heba Al-Rifai, highlighted the Fund's active participation in the c onference. She mentioned that the Fund is dedicated to supporting entrepreneurs by providing financial assistance, guidance, training, and facilitating partnerships with relevant authorities. Al-Rifai noted that the conference presented a unique opportunity to underscore the critical role of small and medium enterprises in driving sustainable economic growth.
