Kuwait City: The Secretariat of Kuwait's Ministry of Islamic Affairs honored the winners of the holy Quran recitation competition, an event organized in collaboration with Al-Yarmouk cooperative and humanitarian excellence societies. The ceremony celebrated participants from various backgrounds who showcased their Quranic recitation skills.
According to Kuwait News Agency, acting secretary general of the secretariat, Nasser Al-Hamad, emphasized that the contest is a significant step toward promoting the recitation and appreciation of the holy Quran. The event aims to strengthen the faith of the younger generation, supported by more than 50 governmental and national bodies dedicated to Quranic projects.
The competition was inclusive of all age groups, and Al-Hamad assured that the secretariat will continue to support similar initiatives. This competition was notable as it was the first of its kind in Kuwait, featuring participants who had previously succeeded in local and Ramadan contests, representing all nationalities residing in Kuwait for the year 2024.
