Kuwait Health Min. thanks political leadership, medics for anti-virus efforts

— Kuwaiti Minister of Health Dr. Khaled Al-Said on Wednesday appreciated the unlimited support of the political leadership, medics’ efforts and state bodies’ cooperation against the novel Coronavirus (Covid-19).

All this has culminated in a set of decrees made by the cabinet during an extraordinary meeting held today, sending life back to normal in the country, the minister told a press conference.

“Everyone has contributed to making the decrees aimed at lifting precautionary restrictions previously put in place in a bid to curb the world health crisis and protect the lives of citizens and residents,” he said.

The minister pointed out cooperation in harnessing all energies for safeguarding health security in the country and following relevant guidelines and instructions, while highly commending the sincere efforts and sacrifices of medical teams for fighting the viral disease.

Although health restrictions are now over, medical teams are still on alert for monitoring the epidemiological situation in all the governorates, the minister added.

Earlier on the day, the Kuwaiti Cabinet decided to revoke all anti-coronavirus vaccination and PCR testing restrictions on incoming travellers, making facemask-wearing optional at indoor and outdoor places and sending unvaccinated fans back into stadiums.
