Kuwait Fund Signs Additional Loan Agreement with GCCIA to Enhance Power Grid Interconnection

Manama: Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development has signed a third additional loan agreement worth KD 8 million with the Gulf Cooperation Council Interconnection Authority (GCCIA) to finance a project aimed at enhancing the GCC power grid interconnection.

According to Kuwait News Agency, this agreement marks a significant step in boosting the infrastructure and reliability of power supply across the Gulf region.

In related developments, the Chairman of Bahrain's Supreme Council of Health (SCH), Dr. Sheikh Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, and Kuwait's Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Mutariri, met in Manama to discuss potential collaborations in healthcare. They explored strategies to improve health services and mutual support in medical advancements.

In Kuwait City, the Ministry of Interior announced that a test run of sirens will be conducted on Monday at 10:00 am local time. This is part of their routine checks to ensure the readiness of emergency systems across the nation.
