According to Kuwait News Agency, Sousa emphasized the need for the Kuwait team to win in order to qualify for the second round. He stated that the match would serve as an opportunity for the team to enhance their skills and adapt to challenging situations, given the vast experience of several UAE players. Sousa also reiterated his commitment to fostering a winning mentality within the team and commended the players for their performance in the tournament so far.
In addition, Kuwaiti player Fahad Al-Hajri acknowledged the difficulty of the upcoming game, noting that both Kuwait and the UAE are determined to secure victory and advance to the next stage. UAE team coach Cosmin Olariou also emphasized the importance of winning, stating that the opportunity to qualify still exists for his team.
The Jordanian team has already secured its place in the second round, having topped Group C with victories over Kuwait and the UAE.
