– Kuwait’s Foreign Minister Sheikh Dr. Ahmad Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Sabah met Monday with the UN Children’s Fund (UNICEF) Executive Director Catherine Russell. The meeting was held in New York on the sidelines of the 77th session of the UN General Assembly. During the meeting, Kuwait’s top diplomat lauded the UNICEF’s noble role, over 70 years, in protecting children worldwide and helping children and their families who suffering from wars, poverty or exploitation.
For her part, Russell expressed great appreciation of Kuwait’s efforts and initiatives to promote and protect children rights regionally and internationally, considering it an ethical responsibility and a necessity for human progress
