Kuwait’s Foreign Minister Sheikh Salem Abdullah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah met Wednesday Founder and Executive Chairman of the French Institute of International Relations (IFRI), Thierry de Montbrial, as part of the minister’s official visit to France.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed means of enhancing cooperation and communications between Kuwait and IFRI, mainly political researches, analytical activities, panel discussions, and sharing expertise and views for geostrategic changes.
In addition, Sheikh Salem took part in a panel discussion held at the headquarters of the institute and spoke about the latest developments on both regional and international arenas, and geopolitical changes and their repercussions on global economy.
Modern mechanisms in keeping pace with accelerated developments and future aspirations were also covered, in addition to some other vital issues in the region and views to find the best solutions to international and regional challenges and crises.
Later, during his official visit, Sheikh Salem also met with the President of Institut du Monde Arabe French for Arab World Institute Jack Lang, and the two tackled ways to boost cultural exchange and cooperation between the institute and Kuwait.
