Kuwait FM Affirms the Historic Relations with the UK

Kuwait city: Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdullah Al-Yahya on Tuesday affirmed that the 126-year-old deep-rooted relationship between the State of Kuwait and the United Kingdom is constantly a focus of interest for the two states' stakeholders in various spheres.

According to Kuwait News Agency, these close ties constitute an example for solid friendship and constructive cooperation in diverse fields, as stated by the minister following the visit by His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah to the UK. The visit embodied the bonds of partnership and friendship bonding the two countries. During his visit, His Highness the Crown Prince met with His Royal Highness Prince William, the Prince of Wales, at Windsor Castle. On this occasion, he conveyed greetings from His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah to King Charles III and Prince William, extending wishes for continued progress and prosperity for the UK and its people.

In addition, His Highness the Crown Prince engaged with Kuwaiti students studying at British universities. He praised their achievements and academic performance while expressing the hope for their future contributions to the development of Kuwait.

Furthermore, during the visit, His Highness the Crown Prince also toured the Kuwait Investment Office in London. There, he was briefed on its tasks, strategic plans, and its role in managing and developing Kuwaiti investments since its founding in 1953. The Minister lauded the office's role in enhancing Kuwait's economic status and diversifying national income sources to ensure a promising future for upcoming generations.
