Kuwait First Deputy PM Visits French Gendarmerie Southeastern Region

Kuwait city: The visiting Kuwaiti First Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister, Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah, was accompanied by the Kuwaiti ambassador to France, Abdullah Al-Shahin, as he visited the southeastern region of the French gendarmerie. The visit aimed to strengthen ties and explore the operational capabilities of the French internal security forces.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the Kuwaiti Interior Ministry released a press statement detailing that Sheikh Fahad Yusuf was received by the Commander of the gendarmerie southeastern region, Frederic Boudier. During his visit, Sheikh Fahad Yusuf observed the base sections and received briefings on the tasks performed by the officers. He also witnessed a military parade featuring a mock clampdown on riots and order maintenance operations, which included the use of drones and helicopters.

At the command headquarters, Sheikh Fahad Yusuf attended a visual presentation on planning and security management for events and significant occasions. The statement also mentioned that the French commander expressed a warm welcome, noting that the visit highlighted the depth of relations between Kuwait and France.
