Geneva: The State of Kuwait is actively participating in the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) as part of its commitment to fostering global cooperation in technology and communication, a senior official announced on Monday. Kuwait's involvement underscores the nation's dedication to adapting to rapid changes in the technology sector and enhancing its international standing in technological arenas.

According to Kuwait News Agency, Kuwait's Minister of State for Communication Affairs, Omar Al-Omar, expressed the significance of the Kuwaiti delegation's participation, which includes senior officials and experts. Their engagement reflects Kuwait's strategic efforts to improve digital system efficiency, advance institutional capacities, and strengthen technological competitiveness. The government is focused on building effective international partnerships in this domain.

Simultaneously, the AI for Good Summit (2025) is taking place, emphasizing the application of AI in education, health, environment, and digital governance, while addressing related regulatory and ethical issues.
