Kuwait Engages in Regional Diplomacy and International Affairs

Kuwait city: His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah recently engaged in discussions with the Sultan of Oman, Haitham bin Tareq, focusing on the enhancement of bilateral relations and regional developments. This dialogue signifies ongoing efforts to strengthen ties between the two nations amid evolving geopolitical landscapes.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed appreciation for the United States' efforts, led by President Donald Trump, in mediating an end to the conflict in the Gaza Strip. This acknowledgment underscores Kuwait's supportive stance on international peace initiatives and its alignment with global diplomatic strategies.

In another development, the Kuwait Cabinet lauded the speech delivered by His Highness the Amir's Representative, Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled, at the 80th session of the UN General Assembly in New York. The address emphasized Kuwait's commitment to global cooperation and multilateral dialogue.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdullah Al-Yahya highlighted the enduring 126-year-old relationship between Kuwait and the United Kingdom. This longstanding partnership continues to be a focal point for both nations, fostering collaboration across various sectors.

In Saudi Arabia, First Deputy Premier and Interior Minister Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah attended the Munich Security Conference Leaders Meeting in Al-Ula, representing His Highness the Prime Minister of Kuwait. This participation reflects Kuwait's active role in regional security discussions.

In New York, Kuwait reaffirmed its dedication to resolving the Rohingya crisis through international cooperation. The state remains committed to achieving a comprehensive and sustainable solution for the affected population.

Kuwait's economic ties with Japan strengthened as crude oil exports to the country surged by 38.9 percent in August, compared to the previous year. This marks the first increase in exports to Japan in four months, highlighting a positive trend in Kuwait's energy sector.

Minister of Justice Counselor Nasser Al-Sumait announced that the US State Department upgraded Kuwait's ranking in its Trafficking in Persons 2025 report from the Tier 2 Watch List to Tier 2. This improvement reflects Kuwait's ongoing efforts to combat human trafficking and enhance human rights standards.

The Medical Liability Authority declared Kuwait's membership in the International Association of Medical Regulatory Authorities (IAMRA), signifying its commitment to upholding medical regulatory standards globally.
