New delhi: Kuwait participated in the National Conference on Strategic Trade Controls (NCSTC) 2026 held in New Delhi, India. The event is significant as it takes place amid substantial economic and trade transformations globally.
According to Kuwait News Agency, Kuwait's Ambassador to India, Meshal Al-Shemali, emphasized the necessity of cultivating an improved and transparent business environment. He highlighted the importance of diversifying economic sectors and income sources in the current global landscape.
Al-Shemali noted that the presence of high-level attendees underscores the commitment of participating countries from various continents to exchange ideas and information on trade controls, combat price manipulation and commercial fraud, tackle money laundering, and secure global supply chains.
The conference serves as a forum to discuss challenges influencing future trade control strategies. It is organized by the Indian Directorate General of Foreign Trade in collaboration with the Ministry of External Affairs and other government bodies at the Bharat Mandapam Convention Center in New Delhi.
The NCSTC addresses vital sectors, including security and defense, space, chemicals, biotechnology, electronics, information technology, commercial applications, emerging technologies, and compliance, with an emphasis on academia and scientific research.
The conference featured thematic sessions with participation from Indian government officials, international organizations, and experts in relevant sectors from around the globe.
