Kuwait Engages in Arab High Committee for Standardization in Rabat

Rabat: The 61st Arab High Committee for Standardization meeting commenced on Wednesday in Rabat, under the organization of the Arab Industrial Development, Standardization and Mining Organization (AIDSMO), featuring the participation of Kuwait.

According to Kuwait News Agency, AIDSMO's Director General, Adel Al-Sager, highlighted the meeting's objectives, focusing particularly on the unification of Arab standards and specifications. He underscored the necessity of collaborative Arab efforts in harmonizing technical regulations and inspection methods, which are vital for establishing a unified Arab market and achieving sustainable development.

Deputy Director General of Specifications, Standards, and Industrial Services at the Kuwait Public Authority for Industry (PAI), Mohammad Al-Mulla, also affirmed the significance of the meeting in aligning specifications. He reiterated Kuwait's commitment to supporting joint Arab initiatives in standardizing technical specifications to match internationally recognized standards, commending AIDSMO's role in these efforts.
