Kuwait City: Kuwait's Assistant Foreign Minister for Human Rights Affairs, Ambassador Sheikha Jawaher Al-Sabah, has affirmed that the State of Kuwait places significant emphasis on expanding cooperation with countries worldwide in the realm of human rights.
According to Kuwait News Agency, Sheikha Jawaher highlighted Kuwait's commitment to human rights through its membership in the UN Human Rights Council. This statement was made during her first official visit to Austria, where she engaged with the director of human rights at the Austrian Foreign Ministry. The meeting took place at the department's headquarters as part of her participation in the 34th session of the UN Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice (CCPCJ).
Sheikha Jawaher discussed with the Austrian official strategies for enhancing bilateral relations, exchanging expertise in human rights, and coordinating efforts between the two countries within international platforms and organizations. She reiterated Kuwait's ongoing efforts to support international norms through regional initiatives and continuous cooperation with international partners and relevant institutions.
