Doha: The Kuwait Embassy in Qatar marked the 65th Independence Day and the 35th Liberation Day, hosting a gathering that included ministers, officials, ambassadors, and dignitaries.
According to Kuwait News Agency, Charge d'Affairs at the Kuwait Embassy, Minister Plenipotentiary Mohammad Al-Zoghbi, extended congratulations to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, the Kuwaiti government, and its people on these national days.
Al-Zoghbi expressed that these occasions reinforce loyalty to Kuwait and its leadership while emphasizing Kuwait's commitment to peace and collaboration across the globe. He highlighted the importance of the national days as symbols of Kuwait's peace and humanitarian efforts, remembering the sacrifices made by past generations for Kuwait's freedom and independence.
He reaffirmed Kuwait's dedication to strengthening ties within the GCC, enhancing cooperation with Arab countries, and supporting international peace and security initiatives. Al-Zoghbi acknowledged Qatar's unwavering support during the Iraqi invasion, highlighting the enduring partnership between the two nations.
Emphasizing the unique nature of Kuwait-Qatar relations, Al-Zoghbi praised Qatar's ability to host significant forums, conferences, and sports events that receive global recognition for their organization and hospitality.
