Kuwait Embassy in Pakistan Celebrates National Day with Ceremony in Islamabad

Islamabad: The Embassy of the State of Kuwait in Pakistan on Thursday hosted a ceremony in the federal capital Islamabad to mark the 64th National Day and 34th anniversary of the Liberation Day of the State of Kuwait.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to Pakistan, Nassar Abdulrahman J. Almutairi, extended his congratulations to His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Amir of the State of Kuwait, and other leaders and people of Kuwait. He emphasized the importance of national celebrations as a testament to loyalty, unity, and the sacrifices made by past generations for the country's present prosperity.

The ambassador highlighted that Kuwait's achievements in security, stability, and development are due to the guidance of the country's leadership. He also acknowledged the enduring partnership between Kuwait and Pakistan, noting the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations celebrated in 2023 with a joint logo and commemorative postal stamp.

The ambassador expressed gratitude for Pakistan's support during Kuwait's past challenges, particularly during the Iraqi invasion, and emphasized the continued strengthening of bilateral relations in various sectors. The ceremony symbolized the deep fraternal ties between the two nations.

Pakistan's Federal Minister for Industries and Production, Rana Tanveer Hussain, attended as the chief guest and conveyed congratulations from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the people of Pakistan. He affirmed the commitment to expanding cooperation between the two countries in numerous areas.

The event was attended by ambassadors, diplomats, prominent Pakistani politicians, and high-ranking officials, reflecting an atmosphere of harmony and brotherhood.
