Kuwait Embassies in Lebanon and Spain Celebrate National and Liberation Days

Beirut: Kuwait Embassies in Lebanon and Spain commemorated the 65th National Day and the 35th Liberation Day with official receptions attended by prominent political, diplomatic, economic, and social figures.

According to Kuwait News Agency, in Beirut, Charge d'Affaires of the Kuwaiti Embassy in Lebanon, Minister Plenipotentiary Abdulaziz Al-Dalh, congratulated His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, as well as the government and Kuwaiti people.

Al-Dalh expressed his wishes for Kuwait's continued security and prosperity, emphasizing the strong ties between Kuwait and Lebanon that have been nurtured over the years. He appreciated Lebanon's participation in Kuwait's celebrations and extended wishes for continued progress for both nations and the broader Arab region.

The event in Beirut saw representation from Lebanese leadership, with Deputy Prime Minister Tarek Mitri attending on behalf of President Joseph Aoun and Prime Minister Nawaf Salam. Mitri emphasized the deep-rooted relations between Lebanon and Kuwait, highlighting the shared friendships and similarities that make Kuwait's National and Liberation Days significant to Lebanon.

In Madrid, the Kuwaiti Embassy hosted a similar celebration with attendance from senior political figures and representatives of various fields. Kuwaiti Ambassador to Spain Ziad Al-Anbaei conveyed congratulations to the Kuwaiti leadership and people, wishing the nation further progress and stability. He highlighted the strong bilateral relations between Kuwait and Spain, noting the economic and commercial growth that has strengthened their ties over the years.

Al-Anbaei also mentioned Kuwait Airways' frequent flights to Spain and the increasing number of Kuwaiti tourists visiting the country. He underscored the agreements and memoranda of understanding that have facilitated cooperation between the two nations, aligning with Kuwait Vision 2035.

The ambassador praised Spain's stance on the Palestinian cause and its efforts to promote peace in the region. Former Spanish Ambassador to Kuwait Miguel Moro Aguilar and Spanish Senator Luis Rogelio Rodriguez also extended their best wishes to Kuwait, expressing hopes for further cultural and diplomatic cooperation.

Senator Teresa Ruiz-Sillero and Senator Luke Uribe Etxebarria joined in congratulating Kuwait, highlighting the positive relations between the countries and noting potential in sectors like energy and machinery. The celebrations in both Lebanon and Spain reflected the strong international ties Kuwait maintains, as well as the shared values and goals between the nations.
