Ottawa: Kuwait's embassies in Canada, Brazil, and Uzbekistan held receptions on Friday to mark the 65th National Day and the 35th anniversary of Liberation Day, attended by senior officials and international diplomats.
According to Kuwait News Agency, in Canada, the Kuwaiti Embassy's event was attended by several senior officials, accredited diplomats, academics, and media figures. Speaking during the ceremony, Acting Charge d'Affaires Ali Alastad welcomed the guests and extended greetings and congratulations to the country's political leadership. He emphasized that the occasion reflects the nation's journey filled with accomplishments and development, along with the unity between the leadership and the people. Alastad also highlighted the depth and strength of the bilateral relations between Kuwait and Canada.
In Brasilia, the Kuwaiti Embassy commemorated the national festivals alongside various embassies, with Brazilian officials, parliament members, senators, Arab and foreign diplomats, and dignitaries attending. Kuwaiti Ambassador to Brazil Talal Al-Mansour praised the 58 years of Kuwaiti-Brazilian relations, noting progress across political, cultural, sports, and economic fields. He emphasized the potential for enhanced economic and trade cooperation between the two countries.
In Tashkent, the Kuwaiti Embassy organized a reception attended by officials, diplomats, and parliamentarians. Acting Charge d'Affaires Abdulrahman Al-Uthaina extended congratulations to Kuwaiti leaders on this occasion. Speaking to KUNA, Al-Uthaina praised the development of Kuwaiti-Uzbekistan relations and the commitment of both countries' leaders to enhancing bilateral cooperation.
