Kuwait city: Kuwait's Minister of Education Eng. Sayed Jalal Al-Tabtabaei expressed on Saturday that the 35th anniversary of Iraq's August 2, 1990 invasion represents a significant national milestone, reminding the nation of one of its most challenging ordeals and the unity demonstrated by its people until sovereignty was restored.
According to Kuwait News Agency, Al-Tabtabaei highlighted that wars leave profound impacts on all aspects of life, particularly noting that the invasion interrupted the educational process, depriving students and teachers of their fundamental right to education. He emphasized that the loss of a homeland is irreplaceable and that the disruption of education is one of the harshest consequences, with homeland and education together forming the foundation of human dignity and a stable, prosperous future.
Al-Tabtabaei further mentioned that security and stability are essential for sustainable learning and a thriving society. He emphasized that the Ministry's mission transcends beyond curricula to a comprehensive national project aimed at shaping young people's awareness and instilling loyalty and belonging, with national identity serving as a fixed pillar that safeguards Kuwait's security and stability.
Under the wise leadership of Kuwait, education remains a top priority, Al-Tabtabaei stated. He noted that the ministry continues to foster a safe and motivating learning environment, expand learning opportunities, and advance education at every stage, recognizing the importance of this right and the duty to protect and develop it.
Al-Tabtabaei concluded by praying for Allah Almighty to envelop Kuwait's martyrs in mercy, protect the country from harm, and keep the banner of knowledge flying high under the leadership of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, and the guidance of His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.
