Kuwait City: The Kuwaiti Union of Charitable Societies and Foundations announced that Kuwait has sent more than 50 relief flights since October 2023 as part of the "Fazaa for Palestine" campaign, carrying medical, food, and shelter aid. According to Kuwait News Agency, the 19th Kuwaiti relief plane recently arrived at Damascus International Airport, carrying 10 tons of aid. This initiative was organized by the Al-Salam Association for Humanitarian and Charitable Works, emphasizing Kuwait's commitment to providing essential support to regions in need. In related diplomatic efforts, Kuwait's Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Fahad Yousef Al-Sabah held talks with his Omani counterpart Hamoud Al Busaidi in Muscat. The discussions focused on enhancing security cooperation between the two Gulf Arab neighbors, highlighting a regional approach to maintaining stability and mutual support. Kuwaiti officials also emphasized national unity through symbolic acts, as Minister of Social Affairs, Famil y, and Childhood Affairs Dr. Amthal Al-Huwaila stated that the flag-raising ceremony for the national day embodies citizens' unity. This act is seen as a reflection of loyalty and an enhancement of the spirit of serving the country. International responses have been critical of recent US policies, with the Arab League in Cairo and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Jeddah condemning statements made by US President Donald Trump. The comments involved a scenario of displacing Palestinians, which were deemed unacceptable at both Arab and international levels. Furthermore, Washington witnessed a significant move by President Trump, who signed an executive order prohibiting American funding for the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) and another to withdraw the US from the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC). Meanwhile, in Geneva, the World Trade Organization (WTO) reported that China has initiated a WTO dispute consultation with the United States. This action is in response t o new tariff measures applied by Washington DC on goods originating in China, marking another development in the ongoing trade tensions.
