Kuwait Dispatches 27th Humanitarian Planeload to Syria


Kuwait City: The 27th planeload of humanitarian aid departed from Kuwait to Damascus International Airport, carrying 40 tons of medical necessities. This initiative was organized by the Kuwaiti Relief Society in partnership with other charitable organizations and in coordination with various state bodies.



According to Kuwait News Agency, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Saleh, Chief of the Relief Society’s board of directors, stated that this aid delivery aligns with the directives of Kuwait’s leadership to support the Syrian population amidst ongoing unrest and insufficient infrastructure. The assistance includes essential supplies such as medicine, food, and shelter provisions.



Omar Al-Thuwaini, the society’s deputy general director, elaborated that the shipment includes medical beds, oxygen concentrators, and other critical medical items. The type of aid dispatched is determined in collaboration with the Syrian Red Crescent.



The cumulative total of aid delivered to the Palestinian people has reached 697 tons as of today.
