Kuwait City: Kuwait’s 25th relief flight from its air bridge departed on Thursday to Damascus International Airport, carrying 36 tons of food aid as part of the “Kuwait Is by Your Side” campaign. This initiative was organized by Kuwait Zakat House in coordination with the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Defense.
According to Kuwait News Agency, Projects and Local Organizations Superintendent at the Zakat House, Ayed Al-Mutairi, stated before take-off that the campaign continues to dispatch relief materials to implement the directives of the Kuwaiti leadership to support and assist the people of Syria.
Al-Mutairi added that the aid shipments were requested by the Syrian Arab Red Crescent, which assesses urgent needs across provinces. The needs have increased, particularly for essential food, medicine, and shelter supplies due to instability and a lack of infrastructure.
This plane marks Kuwait Zakat House’s seventh relief flight, bringing its total aid shipments to 158 tons. The cumulative assistance delivered through the Kuwaiti air bridge to Syria now stands at 647 tons.
