Kuwait city: Kuwait's handball team faced a defeat against South Korea with a score of 26-29 in the President's Cup competition of the U-17 World Championship held in Egypt, resulting in Kuwait securing the 26th position.
According to Kuwait News Agency, Kuwait had previously defeated Uruguay 35-25 on Thursday in the same competition, which is set to conclude in Egypt on August 17. The President's Cup contest is part of the 2025 World Handball Championship and involves teams that did not qualify for the 16th round. These teams are competing to determine the rankings from 17th to 32nd positions and to ensure a fair final ranking.
Throughout the competition, the Kuwaiti team faced challenges, having lost all three matches in the group stage against Sweden, Portugal, and Austria, which prevented them from advancing to the 16th round.
